Brooks Street Books is an independent publisher based in Laguna Beach, California, offering art and gift books with a regional focus. We are inspired by the natural beauty of our community, and by the creativity of the many artists and writers who live and work here. As we expand our offerings and broaden the scope of the works that we publish, we remain committed to the idea that places have power, and there’s poetry to be found even in the daily details of life. To paraphrase Rumi, Beauty surrounds us; but we usually need to be walking in a garden (or on a beach!) to know it. 

Brooks Street, our company’s namesake, is at the center of the HIP District in Laguna Beach’s village area. Sarah Koops Vanderveen founded Brooks Street Books with a vision to empower local authors, poets, artists, illustrators and dreamers.
